Hibiscus Fairy

Adorned from head to toe in hibiscus, Raya is the hibiscus fairy! Inspired by Malaysia's flora and fauna, she represents Malaysia's national flower- the bunga raya,- and the national butterfly- the Rajah Brooke butterfly. She dons the kebaya, sarong batik, and kasut manik with her favourite hibiscus motifs, showcasing traditional Malaysian clothing rooted in rich Peranakan heritage. Hibiscus fairy is a modern yet whimsical and magical expression of the beauty of Malaysia's very own nature and heritage. The concept was influenced by shows about fairies like Barbie and Winx Club, with a Malaysian twist, showing there is magic all around us right at home. Through Raya, we hope to inspire pride & appreciation of our unique culture within young people & around the world!
